Springfield XDM 40

The XDM 40 is another excellent pistol from Springfield. The 40 caliber is an excellent round that is in between the 9mm and the 45ACP. The XDMs from Springfield are available in 9mm, 40, and 45ACP calibers. I really cannot feel any difference in the recoil of the 40 and the 9. The way the XDM fits my hand is amazing. It has a number of safety features, 16 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber, nice sights, minimal recoil, and a great value. This is an excellent home protection pistol and, depending on clothes that you are wearing, could be a concealed carry. The only drawback for a 40 caliber pistol is the cost of ammo is usually more expensive than 9mm. If you tend to shoot a lot, the cost of ammo is a factor unless you reload your ammo. I posted a photo of a target at thirty feet shooting rapid fire with the XDM 40, and two You Tube videos.
