Savage Axis XP chambered in 223

Last year I reviewed the Savage Axis XP chambered in 308. The reason that I purchased one chambered in 223 was the price, accuracy, and cost of ammo. I checked the Savage website, and with the rebate, you can purchase an Axis XP for around $350.00. My last review was about the Remington 783 at a similar price point. You cannot go wrong with either of these budget rifles. The reason that I purchased the, Savage chambered in 223 is, it’s very accurate and, since I am not a hunter, the cost of 223 ammo compared to the 308 is 30 cents per cartridge versus sixty cents. My XPs are older models and have Weaver Scopes versus the newer models have Bushnell scopes. I like the trigger on the Remington 783, but I prefer the scope on Savage. I recommend both rifles for a beginner for hunting or target shooting. A hunter will definitely opt for a 308 or similar cartridge. I posted two videos on the 308 Axis XP instead of a 223 because I believe most buyers will lean towards the more powerful cartridge.
