Ruger Mini 14 with a Leupold 3X9X40 Scope

The Ruger Mini 14 Tactical is a very nice rifle and is copied off of the M14 military rifle that replaced the M1 Garand. This mini is chambered in 5.56 NATO/ 223. This is very versatile because of the size and weight. It weighs 6.7 pounds with an overall length of 36.75 inches. The sights are similar to the Springfield M1A, but in my opinion, not as good and a lot harder to zero. The Mini 14 has been in production since 1974, and several improvements have been made over the years for accuracy. With the Leupold Scope, I can hit six-inch steel at 200 yards. MSRP on this Mini 14 is $1169.00, but the average purchase price is in the $1,000.00 range. I highly recommend this rifle. I posted two videos that are really entertaining and informative. I posted this review on August 5th, 2017. I have not shot the mini since my August review and I forgot how enjoyable it was to shoot this rifle. I will definitely be shooting the mini more frequently. The fun factor is an A+.
