Remington 783

The Remington 783 is an incredible rifle for the MSRP of $399.00. I purchased one three or four years ago and I decided to shoot and review the 783 yesterday. It has been a couple of years since I spent anytime shooting this rifle, and I forgot how good the 783 is. There are a couple of negatives! (1) the scope that is part of the 783 package is not very good. It’s accurate at 200 yards, but not real clear. (2) The bolt is a little stiff. The positives are: (1) great trigger! (2) Great accuracy. My 783 is chambered in 308 and Remington has a $40.00 rebate on the 783s. If you want an inexpensive rifle, You can purchase one for about $350.00. If someone is purchasing a 783 to be their hunting rifle, I would probably get rid of the 3X9X40 scope that is part of the purchase price and buy a Hawke or similar $100.00 to $125.00 scope. I posted some excellent videos from You Tube.
