The HK P30 and the Beretta PX4 Storm Compact are great pistols and are both excellent for home protection. They are definitely not pocket pistols for concealed carry.
Reliability: No problems with either pistol. Excellent reputations for both manufacturers.

Trigger: I like both triggers, double and single action. Very close but the PX4, in my opinion, wins by a hair.

Grip: The HK feels like it was custom made for my hand. The PX4 has a nice grip, but no comparison to the P30.

Finish: The finish on both pistols are excellent.

Price: The HK is normally very expensive because of their excellent reputations and quality of their weapons. They tested the P30 by firing ninety- thousand rounds through the pistol to make sure that there were no major malfunctions. The HK has a msrp of $1,000.00, but the average sale price is $850.00. HK has a promotion that ends in September. Four extra magazines with the purchase of a P30 or a VP9, this is a $200.00 value. The PX4 msrp is $650.00, but the average sale price is $500.00 o $570.00.

Sights: Very close!

Accuracy: This is a tie! My criteria of rapid fire at 30 feet to hit body mass, both pistols are very accurate.

I highly recommend both pistols. The PX4 is the real bargain. I posted four targets. The first was the P30, the second was the PX4, the third was the P30, and the fourth was the PX4. I posted a video review on both pistols from You Tube.
