It has been a very busy spring for me and, I have not been able to shoot or post for a while. Yesterday I did some target shooting with a few 308 rifles. I have reviewed all of them, but someone new to the website might be interested in buying a rifle, and this might help in their decision-making process.
I really like the 308 Win rifles. If I had a 400-yard range instead of 200-yard range, I would have some 6.5 Creadmore rifles. Browning X Bolt with a 3X9X40 Leupold VX2 scope, Weatherby Vanguard Adaptive Composite with a 3X9X40 Leupold VX2 scope, and a Ruger Precision rifle with a Hawke 4X12X50 scope. The Ruger is a great bench rifle that, in my opinion, is to heavy for hunting. Weatherby is also a great target rifle! The X Bolt is light, accurate, and, like most Brownings, excellent quality. The Ruger Precision rifle is so accurate that it is almost boring to shoot.
