I am going to give a short review of my German Luger. This past Saturday I fired my Luger for the first time in the last forty years. This is an extremely well made weapon with a lot of history. My brother, Ron, brought this home from World War 2 and I hope that this will stay in our family forever. This pistol was designed in 1898 and the reason it is named a P08 is the German Army adopted it in 1908. My only complaint about the Luger is that I am not a very good shooter with this pistol. I don’t like the sights and I am more accurate when I point and shoot instead of aiming. If I practiced, maybe I could adjust to the sights, but I doubt it. I am posting two videos from You Tube by Hickok45 about the Luger and the one is a comparison with the 1911. I found both to be informative and entertaining.
